Southern Center for International Studies Young Professionals
The Young Professionals (YP) is a membership division of the SCIS, which provides opportunities for globally minded young professionals through monthly global briefing series to develop their interest in and understanding of international issues. YP acts as an educational resource, an avenue for career development and a social outlet to its members who represent emerging leaders throughout the city of Atlanta. The members are individuals in their 20s and 30s from a diverse background of professional careers including, business, media, law, non-profit, education, government, and entrepreneurs.
The Southern Center for International Studies (SCIS) is a non-profit, non-partisan educational institution. A member organization founded in Atlanta, GA over forty years ago, it is an independent center for thought and opinion on international affairs and foreign policy. The Southern Center seeks to inform; it does not take political positions or attempt to influence policy. The Center's mission is to broaden the public's understanding of international issues and their impact on the US. Each year, the SCIS offers timely, substantive programming on international affairs, featuring policy experts, foreign dignitaries, corporate executives, international authors, journalists and world leaders.
