Mrs. Jacqueline Plair-Rushin is Director, Global Customer Care - Global IT, for InterContinental Hotels Group (NYSE: IHG [ADRs]; LON: IHG), a leading global hospitality company. IHG is one of the world.s largest hotel groups by number of rooms. The company owns, manages, leases or franchises, through various subsidiaries, almost 4,000 hotels and more than 590,000 guest rooms in nearly 100 countries and territories around the world. The Group owns a portfolio of well recognized and respected hotel brands including InterContinental® Hotels &Resorts, Crowne Plaza® Hotels &Resorts, Holiday Inn® Hotels and Resorts, Holiday Inn Express®, Staybridge Suites®, Candlewood Suites® and Hotel Indigo®, and also manages the world.s largest hotel loyalty program, Priority Club® Rewards with over 37 million members.
Mrs. Plair-Rushin is responsible for providing global integration and support solutions for IHG.s proprietary systems, which includes service desk operations, development and negotiation of service levels, and overall management of suppliers in the support delivery channels. She began her career with InterContinental Hotels Group (then Holiday Inn Worldwide) in 1998 as a Senior Management, with varying and increasing roles of responsibilities leading to her current position of Director of Global Customer Care. In this role, Mrs. Plair-Rushin strategically reengineered the organizational design to align with IHG business values and focused on developing a service driven culture. This strategy resulted in IHG.s support organization receiving the coveted Stevie Award for Customer Service Contact Center of the year (up to 100 seats) for 2009.
Mrs. Plair-Rushin has an extensive background in operations, sales, business process reengineering, outsourcing development and management, strategic planning, training, business alignment, tradeshow management, and talent development. Prior to joining IHG, Mrs. Plair-Rushin held several roles at AT&T including sales, operations, Olympic Center Call Center Director, Small Business Channel Development Manager, and Product Manager. Previous to that, she was an instructor at Rutledge College - Atlanta, where she was selected as 'Teacher of the Year'.
Mrs. Plair-Rushin earned her B.S. in Business Education from Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, AL, and her M.B.A with a concentration in Management from Mercer University. She has received several advanced certifications and participated in executive management programs at Emory University and Georgia Tech. Mrs. Plair-Rushin is married to Johnathan and is the mother of two sons, Rodney, Jr. and Brian.
